NASKA World Tour
United States Federal Court · Middle District of Florida
Dear NASKA friends and families—
We write to address the current state of NASKA and the ongoing litigation in the United States Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida.
Please also click the link below to find the most recent order issued by Federal Judge Presnell in this matter.
The judge's order denied the opposing party's request to stop World Tour Promoters, LLC from using the NASKA name and logo, finding that the opposing party failed to show it owns valid, enforceable rights in the NASKA trademark. All world tour promoters may continue using the NASKA name in sanctioning and promoting their events while this case proceeds. World Tour Promoters, LLC continues to manage NASKA sanctioning, memberships, and ratings directly and through third party independent contractors.
Recently, the opposing party in this case has inappropriately mischaracterized the judge's order, stating they are the sole owners of the NASKA name. The opposing party has also stated that our events are not authorized to use the NASKA name, and that we are a "competing organization," improperly holding ourselves out as NASKA. As you can see from the court filings and the judge's order, this is factually inaccurate. The continuing spread of misinformation and false allegations by the opposing party in this case on its social media channels is troubling and is causing immense public confusion.
World Tour Promoters, LLC also recently filed our formal answer and counterclaims in the above-referenced matter on May 29, 2026 that included the following counts:
The case is on-going and the discovery process will continue over the course of the next several months. We are unable to comment in detail, however, we are hopeful this matter will resolve in the coming months, either in mediation or in the jury trial that is scheduled for September.
Rest assured, all parties on both sides of this case are doing everything they can to put the NASKA customers and families first while dealing with this complex matter. Although this is an unfortunate situation, these types of things can happen in business. Our goal, as always, has been to produce the best quality tournaments with the best customer experience in the sport karate world, and that has not changed. We strongly feel that the best is yet to come for NASKA. We look forward to serving everyone at our upcoming events and seeing everyone at the Battle of Atlanta in a few weeks.
Sincerely,
